In California, architects must meet rigorous standards to obtain professional licensure. To become a licensed architect, candidates must first complete an educational program that satisfies all the requirements established by the California Architects Board (CAB). After meeting these requirements, they must apply for and receive a license from the CAB. As part of the licensing process, architects are also required to acquire a rubber stamp bearing their license number.
